D-Postcard

Becuase the images arent displaying in order properly. I have had to change the template to a standard blogger provided one. Still the images and titles are fucked, but its atleast a little better.

My templates are all messed up

What I have noticed is that D-postcards is all messed up. I think I might change all the blogs over to the new blogger templates, and just put some links up to connect them all. Hopefully the new code isnt all that different to the old template code.

New Stuff

All this new stuff means I am going to be able to make up new templates or atleast consolidate some of this shit, because sometimes its confusing to me, and I run this show.

Sweet Jebus

When they said they were gona make posting quicker they were'nt joking. Its basicly instant now. This is awesome

Google Account

Also what seems to be happening is that google is consolidating the various google accounts you have into one. So you sign into your email, blogger, okurt, picture thingy, googlepages, googleboards etc and etc.... with just one account. Which is a neat idea, but one of the things I like about my email address is that I dont get any spam. Occasionaly some gets through, but mostly its clean. And having a clean email address is a bit of a secret pleasure of mine.

Blogger Beta

Holy shit batman! I am now on the "new" version of blogger. Its still on beta, but thats just a name they are using so that they can roll it out slowly. Supposedly there are new features, and hopefully they have fixed some of the bugs that they made by implementing some features half arsed.

One of the new features is a new template system, where you can change the layout etc, so its more customisable for people that dont know any html or cant be bothered. This confirms my predition that they would use the technology from googlepages.com in blogger. Even though they said they wouldnt.

googlepages is a little (free) website service hosted by google, and has a gmailish layout. It works pretty well. And I am trying to get tiddlywiki to work on it atm. But becuase the code is quite big it wont let me save... Its still beta, but its actually quite easy to make a website on this thing, as you can get the 1/2/3 column layout thingy with the click of a button, all within your browser. I guess a better and more sucscint description would be that its an WYSIWYG html editor thats hosted. Considering they give away 2+gigs on gmail, I dont think the hosting thing is really that much of a problem, in anycase its probably quite high for free hosting like 250mb. The amazing thing is the software.

Oh and google also have a picture hosting site... 250mb. And I dont think there is a limit per month like flickr. flickr is still awesome, but if you just wanted to dump a whole bunch of pics on the net really quick. This would be the way to go. Yahoo also has this but I dont know about the amount of space.
